Aarold and Me
PFE - Graduation Project
October 2015 - July 2016

Game Director - Game Designer

Our last year at ISART Digital is focused on creating a game during the whole year with a team to learn the process from the inside.

I came up with the original pitch and created a team around it. We are a team of 9 people working on this game, all studying at ISART Digital.

Aarold is a super-powerful warrior tired of saving the kingdom over and over again. Aware of the player's control, he will pick self-imposed contraints to make their quest more exciting.

Game Week ISART
April 4th - April 8th 2016

Game Designer

The Game Week at ISART was a Jam involving 180 students with over 30 projects.

The theme of the Jam was "Least Effort Strategy". We received the Theme Prize for this game after a vote was held between the participants.

In Fat.mov, you play as the worst cliche nerd possible, who has a list of tasks to do before watching his movie. But he will not leave his comfortable chair, and take off his headset. So you will have to throw the objects you can find around his desk to shut off the light, get rid of the cat...

Héritier Sauvage
Global Game Jam 2016
January 29th - January 31st 2016

Game Designer - Level Designer

I participated in the 2016 Global Game Jam in La Cité des Sciences Paris with a team of students from ISART and LISAA.

The theme we followed was "Ritual". This was my first Game Jam, and discovering the constraints of creating a game in 48 hours made me understand the importance of keeping the game concept simple. We didn't save enough time for the polish phase, and thus the end product was not as good as we wanted it.

In l'Héritier Sauvage, you are a feline mother migrating with her baby to a more peaceful territory. The food is scarce, and each day you will have to move camp and find food for your pup, but don't forget to come back before dawn,..

PFA - End of year Project
February 15th - June 20th 2016

Level Designer

Our second year at ISART ended with this project, where i worked with 13 other people from the school to create a game based on an existing comic serie, Universal War One.

We took the main feature of the comic, time travel, and used it to create this puzzle game. The project was made for mobiles and tablets, so we worked with minimal inputs in mind. Since it was our first project on mobile platforms, it taught us the danger of performance issues, and making the inputs as simple as can be.

As you enter an abandonned space station, you discover the corpse of your friend next to a small unknown device... It opens up spatio-temporal bubbles that send people and objects back in time! With it, you may be able to come back and save your friend from his untimely death...

Le Message
Visual Novel Project
October 12th 2014 - January 7th 2015

Narrative Designer

This project was based off previous researches we did on given time periods. Our group asked for a time period that was not proposed, because we wanted to work on the first World War for its century anniversary.

We wanted our experience to be moving and to make the player visit the trenches from the inside, and winning the Best Story Prize among 12 other projects for a Visual Novel meant we had matched our goal. The main problem we had during production was the software, Novelty, which was hard to work with, especially on animations and sound integration, but we were very happy of the end product.

In Le Message, you play as Felix, wounded by a mortar strike just after his best friend Marcel left the trenches to attack the ennemy. Found by german soldiers, Felix's only chance to survive is to become the carrier of a secret message and carry it through the No Man's Land. But Marcel is still probably out there, wounded...
